New EdCentral Transforms the Way You Learn
EdCentral, a new learning management platform will be available to members this fall. This new benefit will save time and change the way members access all of RSNA’s high-quality online educational content, including articles from Radiology and RadioGraphics, two of the Society’s peer-reviewed journals.
EdCentral is an easy-to-navigate learning hub that features an intuitive interface. It includes a convenient dashboard where users can see what they have consumed or bookmarked, find highlighted content recommended by the users they follow and access other featured and trending content.
Users can manager their individual profiles to customize the experience, adding skills, interests and accomplishments.
EdCentral also allows users to follow key people and ‘like’ content. This community aspect of the new platform sets it apart from traditional online learning sites. The system will send an alert when new, relevant content is available, and users can adjust their preferences to make sure their feed changes as their interests and needs change.
The more you engage with the EdCentral platform, the more customized your content suggestions will be.

Paul M. DeLuca, Jr., PhD
A global expert in the effects of high-energy particle radiation on humans, Paul M. DeLuca, Jr., PhD, died Oct. 30 in Binghamton, NY. He was 79.
Dr. DeLuca received his Bachelor of Science degree in physics and mathematics at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY, and later completed his PhD in nuclear physics from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.
He was appointed to the faculty of the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where, over his long career, he fulfilled several leadership positions including as provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs from 2009 to 2014.
A highly respected researcher and recipient of many honors including the William D. Coolidge award from the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), Dr. DeLuca also served in several roles across national and international organizations including the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurements, the AAPM and the Council on Ionizing Radiation Measurements.
